I'm hyped for all the new content coming but I have yet to find the release date for 4.0 or there has not been released yet?

wait till we get a date for the korean release than add 3 to 5 months to that date.

since Korea didn't a date yet you are safe to assume we won't get it for another 6month at least.

Expecting about May next year.

Oh, wow I thought it was soon since aion was releasing videos on their channel I guessed I'll start leveling my first char then..,

In the past we have not promoted new content until it was right around the corner. But ultimately what that meant is that when Korea was promoting something really big like 4.0, and we didn't promote it, people just went to other sources.

Even place like Massively and mmorpg.com didn't have us as a source, so instead the reported the news but had to either directly to KR or to someone else who had translated it.

This time we decided that even though we don't have an ETA, NCSOFT West SHOULD be the source for all Aion related info in NA. HQ is now sending us assets, like the video, in advance. As soon as Korea posts it, we have permission to post it on our channels as well. This allows us to bring you news about the game you love, rather than you having to go somewhere else to hear it first!

OH! And 3.7 is right around the corner for us! We will be ready to give you a date in the very near future. That will bring our version updated with all content that Korea had through 10/04 (wing reskins, SC instance, quest item cube!).

From the NCSoft Third Quarter earnings conference call they said they want to release 4.0 in december 2012 for Korea.

Okay, new to Aion here. Saw the 4.0 trailers for Gunner and was all "Okay! That is a class I want to play!"

So I have a question! Should I just make a Scout, level it to 9, and wait it out till I can choose the Gunner path (which I'm assuming, admittedl, will be from the Scout class). Or just wait all together?

It'll be a Loong time if you're waiting. Better to play something like a ranger, get to know the game. Build up a lot of Kinah so you can spend your time as a Gunner playing, not grinding for cash.

Wait, we don't even know if they will be using the same 4 class system for 4.0.

Just play the game with what is available now and roll a new character when the time comes.
