I still steal MP even though I don't deal damage with stone skin on... why should anti-enemy fire work any different?....(with the healing effect anyway), you are technically dealing damage... just to the shield instead of the player)

It will not. Tested it earlier for the sake of it. Got jumped by a sorc in the Eye, fired Anti 2 times, no heal, but Stone Skin was down. Finished from there.

Reading skill descriptions is a wonderful thing....

The mana cross trigger takes is not based on the damage inflicted.

Just a question, how would you rate this skill? I got it and I thought it'd be a lil bit better than a portion of gunshot's chain... It's a nice 3x repeatable that steals hp but it feels like it barely does much damage or restores much HP :/

Ik my weps aren't up to the best they can get atm, but I feel like this skill should be doing a lil more than some of my other skills. Is there something I'm doing wrong or missing here? What do you think of the skill and what situations would you find it most useful in?(also yes I use it with hotshot as well as stopping power... still just doesn't feel that great)

Look at the skills base damage and tell me it should be doing "More".

Its a decent OTM skill that works functionally as a DPS filler.

I did and I noticed the difference too, idk... feels like there's a few more skills you could/should be using before you even touch this one.

With the recent change to this skill, I am starting to dislike any further updates to the game. NC needs to understand that they made gunners as the answer to all the sins and rangers and sorcs and SMs that would touch all kinds of butt inappropriately. Now being a flat 600 HP returned per shot, for a total of 1800 hp total counting the skill isn't resisted, is kind of crap in comparison to the super heal clerics and other classes now have.

I know I necro'd a very old thread but it was the only relevant thread. I acquired the skill at 65, with BMs, etc, before it was just given to us. It isn't fair to see such a huge change. At least revert it to 50% of damage back, all other gunner changes are okay.. (the loss of stigmas due to the new system, more than makes up for it).. Please consider reverting the skill back to the aforementioned, just to keep the game interesting. It already has a 1:30 cooldown, so no super healing. But don't negate the use it has. Basically 1 skill from any other class can negate the full heal this skill would provide.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some pvp, but I cannot go in at all, without this skill being useful. Its a survival skill much like power grab, but power grab only does so much. We need this skill back to its original purpose. NOT 100% damage returned, but 50, or hell even 40% returned, would suffice.

they wont do it. the community has a hate on for gunners and NC Soft answered them in spades by supporting it.
