Default Attack Vs Block

Hi guys, two quick questions (highlighted)

Do you find acc viable vs block (Cleric/Chanter.Temp), or is stacking an insane attack set sufficient enough?

As a Templar, I find I do more damage with my MR set Vs my acc set while fighting someone in block:

1,180ish attack (1k with extendie)
3.1k acc
1,090 crit
2.2 -3.9k MR range (Buffs/stance/extendie/non-extendie/mace+shield)

Vs

1,025 attack
4,065 acc
1,030ish crit
(Upgrading this set to about 1050ish attack, 4,120 acc and 1050 crit soon, but my MR set currently yields a more efficient turnaround than my acc set).

Is there a point to me going into my block set at any point during a fight Vs a geared attack glad?

3,950 Block (no stance. Max block is just about 5k for me.)
Over 1k crit/1k attack with greatsword.

I realize operating a block set is actually a lot of technical work and more for downtime on cds/burst.

You do more damage against block with attack set and not accuracy ?

I honestly didnt understand what you meant.

It's not an attack set. It's an MR set. With the stats I listed above, I do seem to be more of a constant threat than I am in my acc set. I have almost 160 more attack in my MR set than I do in my acc set, but my acc set is at 4065 acc.

My question is, do you Glads have more success with a very high end attack set vs block (like a block templar) or do acc sets really carry their weight vs high end block Temps? I realize this seems like a foolish question but I've begun debating with myself over the effectiveness of block.

Hmm, im not sure, but most glads i know dont have more than 3100 acc, and are not fans of more than that.
I have seem some that give up some pvp attack and pvp defense for more acc and attack/crit by using pve accessories against block people, but I'm not sure what is their reasoning for that either. But they get like 1200 attack and 4000 acc and 1100 crit that way.

Maybe I just need to invest more into my acc set. I suppose I should wait until my own efforts are conclusive but it never hurts to ask or raise the conversation.

I ask because I have a 4k block set before stance. With stance I'm reaching 5k block. I wanted to have more in put if it was worth my upgrading my current bm block to mythic or if I should farm the mythic and make an attack/crit set out of it.

I would think it's mathematically better to swap to an accuracy set against block than stick to an attack set.

I'm not a glad expert by any means, though I'm slowly gearing my Beritra one, but..

ex http://aion.mouseclic.com/tool/gearcalc/25781

Pretty 'simple' set to aquire all things considered and w/ food, scroll, and candy it's sitting at 1114 attack / 4083 acc / 1023 crit without slaughter (1215 w/ it, and 3900 acc with zerking obv)

In that sense your 4k block set is kind of irrelevant :3 And swapping to a full offensive one would be better

It is better to have an acc set. Your acc set should be the first set you make as a glad. I went with atk set, its nice but I will get rolled in arenas by block class. You just cant burst fast enough. You still have really good dmg in a decent acc set as a glad, plus you just are not going to miss and can lock down clerics more.

i have gladi att/crit set and acc/crit set. for me templar with no block set is much easier to fight with(end up winning more). for temp MUST have block set(against gladi). if you have block set you can force gladi to use acc/crit set, it is like fighting with another temp who dont have def skill, much ez for temp to fight gladi.

my gladi att/crit set (decent geared)

att 1400
acc 3000
crit 1100

acc/crit set

att 1100
acc 4100
crit 1050

Ideal Accuracy Sets:

With the mythic BM set geared for acc you can hit any fully enchanted block cleric if you have a chanter with you.

Something to work towards.
