Default godstone and attack stone questions

I have noticed that all of the godstones I socket only proc at half the displayed proc percentage. Is there any stat the increases the chances of a godstone proc - and what values am I looking for?

I am also wondering where attack manastones are best socketed if you have a choice - in the gear of the weapon. It seems that att in the gear affects base att where att in the wep affects skill dmg. It seems like the algorithm used in determining dmg would need to be known. Does any have knowledge of this or a good link to go to?

Thanks

God stone procs are accurate based on thousands of hits. So if you only do 10 or 20 attacks then of course results are skewed, sometimes more sometimes less or none at all.

Also if it's against players, some armor have god stone suppression stats.

As for attack manastones, they are added after skill/weapon damage calculations. Doesn't matter if it's socketed on weapon or armor.

Thank you for that.
I should have said I ran tests with auto attack only and various skills for approx. 1000 hits each with various godstones. best results are 2.1%.
Do i need to repeat these tests up to 2 or even 5k times.
How do we explain some toon proc'ing a para 3-5 times within a single arena?
Thanks

as I said, with a small sample results will be skewed. Sometimes 3-5 in a single fight sometimes none at all.

Back when gunner class came out I did a god stone test, loaded ARM and auto attacked dummy as I went to sleep. God stone percentage are as described based on thousands of hits.

One thing I noticed about ARM though, it counts each individual attack on multi-strike weapons. This is wrong in my opinion. As god stones proc per swing/attack, doesn't matter what weapon you use. So if you're using ARM and multi-strike weapons, adjust accordingly.

Did a quick auto attack test.

Weapon: Polearm
Godstone: 2% 940dmg
Crit: 449
Dummy: Sanctum
ARM Result:

(auto hits: 12726 || crit: 2266 || crit%: 17)
(godstone: 85)

Here you see ARM shows 17% crit rate when it should be ~44%. The reason is ARM counts the extra strikes as hits. (extra strike damage do not have the tag 'critical' in log even if the initial strike is a crit, so I can see why)

Math is not my strong suit so feel free to correct it.. so here goes my math.

12726 x 17% = 2163.42
12726 x 44% = 5599.44
5599.44 / 2163.42 = 2.588235294117647

Godstone proc: 85
Adjusted godstone proc: 85 x 2.588235294117647 = 220

220 / 12726 = 0.0172874430300173

1.73 % is pretty close to 2%
