So i came over from WoW hoping the PvP would be better in Aion. just started playing for like 2 hours or so and ive been experiencing some serious lag, if im lucky grinding on mobs ill hold a somewhat steady 40-50fps, but when travelling ill get these spikes where it drops to 5-15fps, and even when im just casting on a mob itll randomly spike... its really annoying because in wow with all settings on med-high i'd almost always hold a 35-60fps.

my specs are as follows:

Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @2.00GHz
4.00GB RAM
NIVIDIA GeForce 9400M G
64-bit OS

i am by no means a computer wiz but these spec's seem somewhat decent to me. any help would be greatly appreciated so i can begin a new addiction :)

oh yah and i forgot to say yes i have all settings on low ^^

I take back what i said about the travelling and sudden lag due to loading models which would have to do with RAM, its completely random lag, ill fly from point A to point B and ill load everything fast like i would in wow with about 40-50fps... but then ill sit there staring at a wall and once every minute or two my fps will drop drastically. Any got some advice? anyone :(

Make sure your graphic's card drivers are up to date.

i updated them minutes before opening this thread so thats not the issue :( wish it were.

I had similar lag spikes about every 5-10 minutes. updated grapics card scanned for viruses nothing worked. Opened up computer and dusted everything with a compressed gas duster and lag went away. Give it try.

Okay this will sound weird but try this, when i first started this game i put all my settings low and i had bad lag to, my comp is a piece of **** and i just posted a thread hopeing someone could tell me a good comp to buy to be able to play this game, but when i first started playing out of lag rage i turned all the settings to maxx for who knows why and it rand smoother then on low...its prolly a shot in the dark but try experimenting with putting your settings up
