Just go back to the beginning and give what is now Siel its superior server name back, Ariel.

IS/KR/TM should be Azphel Reborn
SL/BR should be Ariel Reborn

Also, for the record, these are some hilarious and terrible choices. Most of BR are SL rerolls.

And IS-A's carefully created powerstructure is going to be demolished.

Also, HOUSING. T-T

ALSO NAMES. T-T

SL + BR = Siel

The best server should not be renamed! It's already endured since 1.0 :D

Also, in regards to merging with toons on opposing factions, this issue has been encountered before. I believe what happened was, they stayed on the same account for a specified period, and by the end of it, you had to have one of the factions deleted or they'd do it for you.

Hello to all the Daevas who love Aion. Nice to meet you!

While the U.S. office is preparing the 5.3 update, the development team is spending countless hours working on the future of Aion.

Recently, the development team visited the U.S. office and heard a lot about their players. We were worried after hearing some negative feedback about the game from some players. We will work harder!

We understand that the current version is not perfect. The upcoming 5.3 update was developed to encourage playing together via competition and cooperation, and also brings out new Abyss gear! Our goal for this update is to bring back the feel of an epic-scale MMORPG for our Daevas. We hope you enjoy it!

Looking even past that, the version we are currently working on focuses on expanding the story and improving the game world, and is filled with new features that we can't share just yet.

We will do our best to alleviate the current issues, so please continue to give feedback and look forward to the future!

It is unfortunate that the development team has no opportunities to directly meet western players as we are based in Korea. If there is a good opportunity next time, we would like to meet western users and talk about Aion in depth.

Thank you for your support!
This was interesting! What I wouldn't have given to listen in on a talk between Hime/Cyan and the Korean Devs! And it looks like they didn't sugar coat it either as the Devs spoke to being "worried" after hearing negative feedback.

Nah. Deleting factions would be too mean. Both times they've had server merges, they just did it where at first you can access both factions. At the same time you were supposed to request one faction to be moved. After x time has passed, you can only choose one faction to access and the other one couldn't be accessed anymore until they were moved to another server.

For anyone that wants a preview to how past merges were like:
