Well, I got a bit of a late start, but I just entered the world of Aion again after a 3 year break, and I come onto the new server hoping that I wouldn't be too far behind the general population......
I was promptly corrected. -.-' Just wondering how many Twinks ganking a server needs to have before NCSoft decides that we need another new server? When u spend hours grinding to get the money for a full set of +5 Fabled, and realize you are still at the bottom of the barrel when you can no longer even PvE without being owned by Rifters, you begin to lose interest. Personally, it's not so bad for me, because i realize that it is a natural event in most MMO's, but eventually, this is one of te reasons games die: High twink rate makes newbies leave, therefore server full of vets; eventually vets leave, game dies. I dont really pay attention to the server creation in MMO's too much, but i cant believe noone has missed this, so i wonder: when is a new server going to come? I now leave this thread open for (hopefully) useful and intelligent people, who have the confidence of their real lives to be mature when noone knows who they are; and not get people who are shut-in's who need to act like the trolls they are too afraid to be irl, in order to feel like they have an achievement SOMEWHERE. Would appreciate too if a GM answered, or is that too foreward of me? >.> Last edited by Cynicist - Kahrun; 06-13-2012 at 09:14 PM. |

1-60 can be done in less than 7 days.
I've got 1 60, a L41, and a secret L30 char of mine. All of them had no problems with rifters ganking. Learn to pvp, learn to avoid it, and above all, learn how to play.

lol...
Who wants to level from 1-60 in 7 days? go outside, go shower... go eat.. anyways. one server might have been 1 too little for the launch of F2P maybe 2 could have been nice. Though it sucks to get ganked while leveling (and believe it or not it is possible regardless if you have a higher level main or alt i doubt twinks are very prejudice when it comes to killing people they outgear.) if you see a group of the opposite faction just book it or try to get a few before they get you. Not much you can really do about that even if they made a new server tomorrow you'll still get butt-humped by a group of rifters and what about other people who join a few weeks later they will have same issue as you and want a new server as well i mean its only fair to give them one too right since they did after all start late. on a side note lately i have been experiencing lag that i haven't before So maybe the server is getting bigger or maybe my internet is just getting buttpumpped by my ISP ![]() meh i was going to type some more relevant crap but after typing all of the above i lost interest :/ |

It can be tough for new players, and those returning after long absences. It's even more difficult when you come to the forums for helpful discussion and people who could contribute just say "it's easy, learn to play" instead.
But he's right, there are plenty of ways to avoid the ganking while leveling. The absolute wrong way is to run around Morheim and Beluslan taking normal blue quests from NPCs and trying to grind them out. You may need to do this a little, but try this strategy first: Grind in non-PvP zones when possible, e.g. Brusthonin and Theobomos, and run group instances for exp. If you are willing to risk a bit of time in Morheim and Beluslan, focus it on the campaigns, this is an excellent time/experience payoff. I see you are 29 atm. I would do a couple NTCs runs until you are about 31. You can go from level 30-37 in a few hours if you do the Morheim and Beluslan campaign quests as they become available. The following are soloable:
Fill gaps in exp in Fire Temple if needed. When you hit 37, do Kromede's Trial. When you hit 40, do Steel Rake Cabin. When you can dps well enough, join Steel Rake U/L groups and run that as well. You can do this till 45, then quests in northern Brusthonin become available, and Elyos can't rift into that zone. If you have questions you can ask here or PM me in game, I'm more than willing to help clear things up. |

Kahrun is not the place for you if you don't like low level rifting/pvp.

it's not about learning how to play, it's about finding time. any dim wit can pve and i agree, Kahrun is basically the pvp server of Aion, if you don't like it, there's 3 other servers you could go to |

Proof that it's about learning how to play. 1-20 takes 2-3 hours. 20-30 takes 2-3 hours. 30-40 takes ~10 hours 40-45 takes ~10 hours 45-50 takes ~15 hours 50-60 takes ~10-15 hours Server is over 2 months old. At 1 hour/day that's still 60 hours. at max: 3+3+10+10+15+15=56 hours for 1-60. Still got 4 hours. Oh hey, that's another L30 toon.
